Do you remember those childhood dreams, when you’d envision what you wanted to be when you grew up? Some kids dreamt of becoming doctors or dancers, while others aspired to be veterinarians or nurses. Children’s boundless imaginations often sparked hope, and happiness followed like a breath of fresh air. The mix of ambitious and laid-back kids added a touch of charisma to life. Not every child imagined their future in a distant land, but one girl from the Czech Republic did. What did she give up?

At just 11 years old, Lara H. decided to embark on a journey spanning thousands of kilometers to pursue her dreams. Once dreaming of becoming a singer, Lara and her family made a life-changing decision. Stepping onto the stage of “The Voice Kids,” one could easily mistake Lara for a seasoned professional, with her captivating voice and stage presence.

Later, she revealed to the judges that she had received professional training from a young age, attending a music school in Nashville, Tennessee. After witnessing her remarkable performance, one could only imagine the bright future ahead for this young talent. Behind the scenes, Lara’s mother, father, and brother watched with anticipation, eagerly awaiting this touching and joyful moment.

With confidence and a remarkable voice, the 11-year-old star left a lasting impression on the judges with her rendition of “Shake it Off.” Overwhelmed with happiness, tears streamed

down her face as she sang, even prompting the judges to join in.

“I’d be honored to have you on my team, Lara,” said Lena Meyer-Landrut, visibly moved by Lara’s performance. Other judges also shared encouraging words for the budding star.

“I can see the rich cultural heritage and musical upbringing you’ve had in the Czech Republic. We would be thrilled to have an international star like you on our team,” remarked Michi Beck.

Despite some judges not choosing her, Lara ultimately selected Lena Meyer-Landrut as her coach. As she announced her decision, Meyer-Landrut beamed with pride and turned to her new protégé.

“Yes, yes! I’m so grateful you chose me, Lara. You did an amazing job,” she exclaimed as they joyfully left the stage. Recognizing their shared proficiency in English, they knew they would make the perfect team.

As the competition, which began in March 2022, unfolded, audiences eagerly awaited to see Lara’s journey and eventual outcome on “The Voice Kids.”
