Commuters at London’s St Pancras International were given a special treat when Alicia Keys, a celebrated musician and nine-time Grammy Award winner, performed a spontaneous set. The New York-born artist enchanted passersby with some of her most beloved tracks, including “Empire State of Mind,” “If I Ain’t Got You,” and “No One.”

During this surprise performance, Alicia Keys also debuted “Lifeline,” a new song featured in the soundtrack for the upcoming film adaptation of “The Color Purple.” The event marked the launch of “The Diary of Alicia Keys 20,” a commemorative release celebrating her second studio album’s 20th anniversary—a record that achieved multi-platinum status following its release in 2003.

Videos captured on Monday, December 11, show an enthralled crowd gathered around the piano, originally donated to the station by Sir Elton John, as Alicia Keys delivered a memorable performance.
