The New York-born artist enchanted passersby with some of her most beloved tracks, including “Empire State of Mind,” “If I Ain’t Got You,” and “No One.”
During this surprise performance, Alicia Keys also debuted “Lifeline,” a new song featured in the soundtrack for the upcoming film adaptation of “The Color Purple.” The event marked the launch of “The Diary of Alicia Keys 20,” a commemorative release celebrating her second studio album’s 20th anniversary—a record that achieved multi-platinum status following its release in 2003.
